Although replacement of the standard points with an optical eye or magnetic ignition set-up is an improvement, it does not compensate for the wear in the advance-mechanism, the distributor shaft and bearings within the distributor itself.

The 123/JAG-6-R-V is designed to improve the performance of the Jaguar 3.4, 3.8 and 4.2 litre, 6 cylinder XK-engines. These engines require more degrees advance.
When the maximum specified degrees advance (see last page of the installation manual ) is more than you need, our advice is to order the 123-GB-6-R-V.
